Position Summary:
The Accommodations Maintenance Supervisor shall support the respective Manager ensuring the maintenance standards are achieved. This position must perform a variety of tasks. From preventative maintenance to repair, this position should strive to keep the maintenance standards at a high quality level.
Employee may be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor, management or the Chief Engineer. All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with the Company's Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
Qualifications:
· Five years minimum experience in technical/engineering maintenance on a cruise ship or a land based facility.
· Previous supervisory experience with the ability to train and coach employees.
· Extensive knowledge of Galley, Laundry, and Hotel/F&B equipment , plumbing systems , as well as joining/carpentry experience .
· Good communication/social skills, to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
· Able to read and interpret technical drawings, instruction manuals and schematic diagrams for equipment that has mechanical, outfitting and structural components.
· SOLAS Lifesaving and Fire Fighting Training according to SOLAS and STCW requirements for passenger ships (Preferred)
· Ability to demonstrate leadership, co-ordination and problem solving skills when performing routine and contingency tasks in order to minimize organization bottlenecks, negative guest impact and down-time of equipment.
